About the role

  • Ingénieur(e) électrique gérant des projets internationaux en énergies renouvelables chez EXP. Coordination des opérations techniques et développement d'affaires à l'international.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and approve technical tender documents related to renewable energy and energy storage projects (PV, BESS, hybridization, etc.).
  • Prepare and submit service proposals in the electrical and energy domain.
  • Produce and coordinate the delivery of technical deliverables.
  • Actively participate in internal coordination meetings and meetings with international partners.
  • Communicate project objectives, technical directions and schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with internal rules, policies and applicable standards.
  • Perform any other related tasks connected to technical and operational coordination.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between international clients, internal teams and local partners.
  • Provide technical leadership on projects related to: PV solar plants, energy storage systems (BESS), mini-grids (microgrids), PV–diesel hybridization, and electrical network studies.
  • Clearly communicate key issues: budgets, timelines, technical constraints and risks.
  • Ensure interdisciplinary coordination (electrical, civil, mechanical, environmental, etc.).
  • Propose and implement measures to improve project performance and profitability.
  • Coordinate technical, administrative and financial aspects of projects.
  • Rigorously manage budgets, progress tracking, accounts receivable and deliverables.
  • Define and implement required quality control processes according to standards (ISO, client requirements, electrical standards).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent).
  • More than 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in engineering consulting.
  • Demonstrated experience in:
  • - PV system design,
  • - BESS design and modeling,
  • - network studies (load flow, short-circuit, harmonics, stability),
  • - international renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hydro, microgrids).
  • Proficiency with specialized software:
  • - PVSyst, HOMER Pro, CYME, PSSE / PSS®E, ETAP, AutoCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory (an asset).
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or eligible for membership.
  • Excellent ability to solve complex problems and manage technical risks.
  • Bilingual (French/English) with strong oral and written command of both languages. In this role you will regularly be required to interact in English, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external partners across Canada, the United States and internationally. Knowledge of additional languages is an asset.
  • Available for occasional international travel (1–2 week trips), approximately 3–4 times per year as needed.
