CPI position in building electrical engineering at EXP. Involvement in electrical design projects for various sectors with collaborative and innovative work environment.
Responsibilities
Participate in visual inspections and field surveys required for project execution.
Contribute to the design and preparation of building electrical plans and specifications (lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, and other related systems), under the supervision of experienced engineers, in accordance with applicable standards.
Assist in performing electrotechnical studies (arc flash, grounding, protection coordination, load and short-circuit calculations) and in preparing the associated technical reports.
Participate in the design of electrical distribution systems (normal and emergency) for various project types, including institutional, commercial, and industrial buildings.
Use specialized software for modeling and calculations of low- and medium-voltage electrical networks.
Collaborate on the preparation of deliverables and ensure adherence to schedules and quality standards.
Perform occasional site visits and contribute to the preparation of follow-up reports.
Attend project coordination meetings and collaborate with the various disciplines involved.
Ensure the application of current codes, standards, and regulations in the execution of assignments.
Maintain and develop technical knowledge related to the specialty.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (electrical engineering, building engineering, or other equivalent qualification).
Hold the CPI designation or be in the process of obtaining professional engineer status with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
Relevant experience in building electrical engineering (consulting, internship, or employment) is a strong asset. Recent graduates and early-career candidates are also encouraged to apply.
Holding an ASP Construction card is an asset.
Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.
Valid driver’s license.
