Senior Technical Engineer needed for nuclear engineering contract in Pickering, ON. Requires 6 - 8 years experience and ECC systems knowledge.
About the role
- Engineer or Geologist specializing in Environment and Geotechnics at EXP's Drummondville and Victoriaville offices. Collaborating on diverse projects for public and private clients in the Centre-du-Québec area.
Responsibilities
- Act as project manager/discipline lead in geotechnical and environmental projects.
- Collaborate with professionals working on geotechnical and environmental studies.
- Prepare service proposals.
- Plan and supervise fieldwork: drilling, sampling, installation of wells/piezometers, in‑situ testing, etc.
- Prepare study and expert reports, including supervision of laboratory testing.
- Conduct environmental site assessments (Phase I, II and III).
- Manage environmental monitoring mandates during remediation works.
- Provide technical support to team members.
- Perform other duties related to the position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, geological engineering or geology, or other relevant education.
- Member of the OIQ (Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec) or the OGQ (Ordre des géologues du Québec).
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations (RPRT, RVMR, MELCCFP Intervention Guide).
- Interest in fieldwork and versatility across assignments.
- ASP construction card.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
- Team player with autonomy and strong initiative.
