About the role
- Senior Geotechnical Engineer at EXP, handling significant projects and mentoring teams. Working collaboratively across various locations in Quebec, in a dynamic and innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Geotechnical Project Manager
- Support and advise technical and professional teams at every project stage
- Collaborate with EXP’s geotechnical teams across Quebec
- Actively participate in business development
- Prepare proposals and statements of work
- Plan, coordinate and oversee geotechnical investigations (drilling, soil and rock sampling, boreholes, piezometers, in situ testing, etc.)
- Supervise laboratory testing programs
- Prepare technical study and expert reports
- Perform calculations for bearing capacity, settlement and other geotechnical parameters
- Conduct slope and embankment stability analyses, including using software such as GeoSlope
- Manage the technical and administrative follow-up of projects while maintaining close communication with clients
- Perform any other related duties
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or geological engineering
- Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering (an asset)
- More than 10 years of relevant experience
- Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Basic knowledge of environmental issues (an asset)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the Chaussée 2, GeoSlope, Géotec and GeoStudio software
- Excellent command of French, both spoken and written
