Responsibilities
Serve as Geotechnical Project Manager
Support and advise technical and professional teams at every project stage
Collaborate with EXP’s geotechnical teams across Quebec
Actively participate in business development
Prepare proposals and statements of work
Plan, coordinate and oversee geotechnical investigations (drilling, soil and rock sampling, boreholes, piezometers, in situ testing, etc.)
Supervise laboratory testing programs
Prepare technical study and expert reports
Perform calculations for bearing capacity, settlement and other geotechnical parameters
Conduct slope and embankment stability analyses, including using software such as GeoSlope
Manage the technical and administrative follow-up of projects while maintaining close communication with clients
Perform any other related duties
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or geological engineering
Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering (an asset)
More than 10 years of relevant experience
Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
Basic knowledge of environmental issues (an asset)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the Chaussée 2, GeoSlope, Géotec and GeoStudio software
Excellent command of French, both spoken and written
