About the role

  • Senior Geotechnical Engineer at EXP, handling significant projects and mentoring teams. Working collaboratively across various locations in Quebec, in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as Geotechnical Project Manager
  • Support and advise technical and professional teams at every project stage
  • Collaborate with EXP’s geotechnical teams across Quebec
  • Actively participate in business development
  • Prepare proposals and statements of work
  • Plan, coordinate and oversee geotechnical investigations (drilling, soil and rock sampling, boreholes, piezometers, in situ testing, etc.)
  • Supervise laboratory testing programs
  • Prepare technical study and expert reports
  • Perform calculations for bearing capacity, settlement and other geotechnical parameters
  • Conduct slope and embankment stability analyses, including using software such as GeoSlope
  • Manage the technical and administrative follow-up of projects while maintaining close communication with clients
  • Perform any other related duties

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or geological engineering
  • Master’s degree in geotechnical engineering (an asset)
  • More than 10 years of relevant experience
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • Basic knowledge of environmental issues (an asset)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the Chaussée 2, GeoSlope, Géotec and GeoStudio software
  • Excellent command of French, both spoken and written
