Senior Structural Engineer at EXP contributing to innovative building structure design and project execution in various sectors. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure client satisfaction and project quality.
Responsibilities
Participate in project management activities to guide, support, and advise clients.
Conduct technical surveys and site inspections and follow-ups.
Contribute to the drafting and analysis of technical studies and expert reports.
Design and produce drawings and specifications for building structures (steel, concrete, and timber) in compliance with Building Code guidelines and requirements.
Participate in and ensure the integration of technical data into digital models (BIM).
Ensure deliverables are met and that submitted drawings meet quality standards.
Prepare and evaluate construction cost budgets related to building structures.
Provide required site supervision for projects within your specialty and prepare site visit reports.
Lead kickoff and coordination meetings, coordinate team work with other disciplines, and ensure compliance with client requirements and involved professionals.
Ensure engineering work is executed according to EXP's quality standards and applicable codes and standards.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, standards, and technologies relevant to your specialty.
Provide recommendations on various projects and files.
Contribute to professional development and provide technical mentoring to team members.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering specialized in building structures, civil engineering, or equivalent.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in building structures, specifically in consulting engineering.
Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
Proficient with structural design software such as ETABS, ADA, SAP2000, SAFI, etc.
Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
Strong knowledge of current building codes and standards.
Hold Construction Site Safety (ASP) certification.
Fluent in French, both written and spoken.
