Senior Technical Engineer needed for nuclear engineering contract in Pickering, ON. Requires 6 - 8 years experience and ECC systems knowledge.
About the role
- Engineer - Methods developing manufacturing plans and tooling requirements for aerospace projects. Collaborating with production teams in a dynamic environment located in Montreal, QC.
Responsibilities
- Develop the manufacturing plan and tooling requirements
- Estimate assembly cycle times, production hours, and part quantities
- Conduct feasibility studies related to manufacturing automation
- Define assembly breakdowns and part separation
- Perform design reviews and deliver technical presentations
- Be responsible for planning, sequencing, and maintaining methods work instructions
- Provide technical support to production and act as a technical interface between teams
- Investigate, analyze, and recommend corrective actions
- Perform detailed analyses and provide information necessary to submit engineering change requests
- Incorporate engineering dispositions into rework instructions
Requirements
- Strong ability to interpret 2D engineering drawings and 3D models
- Excellent knowledge of Bombardier aerospace tools and standards
- Knowledge of MRB (Material Review Board) processes in aerospace is an asset
- Excellent understanding of aircraft structural and systems installation technical requirements
- In-depth understanding of aircraft systems, installation sequencing, and functional test procedure requirements
- Excellent knowledge of aerospace materials and hardware
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive mindset and positive attitude
- Valid work authorization to work in Canada is required
