About the role

  • Technical Engineering Lead supporting engineering project execution across multiple industries at Expleo Canada. Role requires strong technical background in mechanical design and leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for mechanical engineering and CAE-related projects
  • Support account managers on technical aspects of projects, proposals, and client discussions
  • Coordinate technical activities with Expleo global entities — India, Europe, North America, etc.
  • Lead and monitor the technical execution of engineering work packages
  • Participate in technical reviews and ensure the quality of deliverables before submission to clients
  • Support engineering estimations, project scope definition, and workload assessments
  • Identify technical risks and assist in implementing mitigation strategies
  • Participate in client meetings and technical workshops
  • Support offshore and international engineering teams during project execution
  • Ensure alignment between client expectations and delivery teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field
  • Professional engineering designation — OIQ or equivalent — considered an asset
  • 6 to 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, product development, CAE/simulation, or engineering project delivery
  • Experience in the automotive, transportation, aerospace, heavy vehicles, or related industries
  • Experience with offshore or international engineering teams strongly preferred
  • Technical skills — Mechanical Engineering: 2D/3D mechanical design, Product Development, GD&T, Manufacturing processes, Tolerance analysis
  • Software and tools: CATIA V5, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, PLM/PDM systems, SmarTeam, Teamcenter, CAE and simulation: Meshing, FEA structural analysis, Durability analysis, Modal/NVH analysis, HyperWorks, ANSA, Abaqus, Nastran, OptiStruct, ANSYS
