About the role
- Technical Engineering Lead managing mechanical engineering and CAE projects in Montreal at Expleo Canada. Collaborating globally to ensure technical quality and project success.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical reference for projects related to mechanical engineering and CAE
- Support account managers on the technical aspects of projects, proposals, and client discussions
- Coordinate technical activities with Expleo’s global entities
- Lead and monitor the technical execution of engineering work packages
- Participate in technical reviews and ensure the quality of deliverables before submission to clients
- Support engineering estimations, project scope definition, and workload assessments
- Identify technical risks and support the implementation of mitigation strategies
- Participate in client meetings and technical workshops
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field
- Professional engineering designation — OIQ or equivalent — considered an asset
- 6–8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, product development, CAE/simulation, or engineering project delivery
- Experience in the automotive, transportation, aerospace, heavy vehicles, or related industries
- Experience with offshore or international engineering teams is highly desired
- Technical skills — Mechanical Engineering: 2D/3D mechanical design, product development, GD&T, manufacturing processes, tolerance analysis
- Software and tools: CATIA V5, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, PLM/PDM systems, CAE and simulation tools
