About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and operate an agentic operating system for the software development lifecycle
  • Integrate AI-assisted development into execution workflows using GitHub Copilot, Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, and Microsoft Foundry
  • Develop web applications and integration capabilities
  • Expand support for integration patterns and maintain an integration catalog
  • Promote platform adoption and monitor and tune the platform to maximize technology team efficiency
  • Review models, system descriptions, diagrams, and tables to advise teams on front-end applications, APIs, integration, and development and operations
  • Collaborate with the design team to make user interface and user experience requirements technically feasible and implement them
  • Produce high-quality code, conduct code reviews, and ensure codebase maintainability
  • Define the target state with analysts, architects, developers, testers, and deployment leads
  • Determine execution effort, bottlenecks, rework, and high-value agent use cases
  • Support the technical community of practice through knowledge sharing, standards development, and participation in hiring
  • Communicate complex ideas and persuade stakeholders, including senior executives
  • Implement secure retrieval of tasks, source repositories, design documents, and meeting minutes based on each agent’s identity
  • Integrate version control, work tracking, CI/CD pipelines, testing platforms, and telemetry services

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as computer science or computer engineering
  • At least 8 years of hands-on experience as a software engineering generalist and implementing enterprise-scale production systems
  • Experience with web applications, APIs, microservices, integrations, and cloud-native solutions
  • Strong discipline in programming, testing, and deployment
  • Proficiency with Angular, React, .NET, APIs, microservices, integration patterns, and cloud-based architectures
  • Experience with GitHub Copilot and modern development platforms, including pull request management, code reviews, branching strategies, repository governance, automation, and engineering telemetry
  • Demonstrated experience deploying enterprise technologies using continuous integration or continuous delivery practices
  • Experience designing, developing, and integrating AI-assisted development experiences, AI agents, or copilots
  • Strong experience in cloud architecture, identity management, networking, platform engineering, and security controls
  • Ability to comply with governance, risk, privacy, and compliance requirements
  • Experience creating reusable engineering resources, frameworks, standards, reference implementations, templates, and acceleration models
  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise application architecture, distributed systems, microservices, API-first design, and event-driven integration patterns
  • Knowledge of REST, JSON, SOAP, OpenAPI, and enterprise integration frameworks
  • Knowledge of identity and access management, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Entra ID/Azure AD, workload identities, and secure application authentication
  • Direct experience with Microsoft Azure and technologies for design, deployment, automation, integration, development and operations, networking, and security
  • Experience with integration design patterns and practices, including API virtualization, resilient event-driven architecture, and asynchronous processing
  • Hands-on experience with security analysis tools
  • Design skills, including Figma or similar tools
  • Ability to work legally in Canada at the time of application preferred
  • Ability to meet government security requirements
