About the role

  • Senior full-stack developer building AI-enabled enterprise platforms for Export Development Canada. Designing web applications, APIs, integrations, and cloud-native delivery systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, support, and operate the Working Capital Solutions group’s digital platform
  • Develop web applications and integration capabilities
  • Expand support for integration patterns and maintain an integration catalogue
  • Promote platform adoption and monitor and tune the platform
  • Design, build, and operate the Agentic SDLC Operating System
  • Embed AI-assisted development into delivery workflows using GitHub Copilot, Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, and Azure Foundry
  • Review systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts and advise on Front-End, API, integration, and DevOps matters
  • Partner with the design team to understand UI/UX requirements and implement feasible solutions
  • Write high-quality code, conduct code reviews, and maintain codebase quality
  • Design the target state with analysts, architects, developers, testers, and release leads
  • Identify delivery effort, bottlenecks, and rework; prioritize high-value agent use cases; and identify activities unsuitable for automation
  • Support Technical Community of Practice activities, including knowledge sharing, standards development, and hiring
  • Communicate complex ideas and persuade senior stakeholders to adopt different viewpoints
  • Implement secure retrieval across authorized work items, source repositories, design records, and meeting records
  • Implement integrations with source control, work tracking, CI/CD pipelines, testing platforms, and telemetry services
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, solution guidance, and hands-on full-stack development

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field
  • 8+ years of hands-on full-stack software engineering experience delivering enterprise-scale production systems
  • Experience with web applications, APIs, microservices, integrations, and cloud-native solutions
  • Strong coding, testing, and release discipline
  • Strong full-stack expertise in Angular, React, .NET, APIs, microservices, integration patterns, and cloud-native architectures
  • Experience with GitHub Copilot and modern developer platforms, including pull request workflows, code reviews, branching strategies, repository governance, automation, and engineering telemetry
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience designing, building, and integrating AI-enabled developer experiences, AI agents, and copilots into enterprise software delivery workflows
  • Strong experience with cloud architecture, identity, networking, platform engineering, and security controls
  • Knowledge of enterprise governance, risk, privacy, and compliance requirements
  • Experience creating reusable engineering assets, frameworks, standards, reference implementations, templates, and accelerator patterns
  • Knowledge of enterprise application architecture, distributed systems, microservices, API-first design, and event-driven integration patterns
  • Knowledge of REST, JSON, SOAP, OpenAPI, and enterprise integration frameworks
  • Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Entra ID/Azure AD, workload identities, and secure application authentication
  • Hands-on Microsoft Azure experience in build, deployment, automation, integration, DevOps, networking, and security technologies
  • Experience managing integration design patterns and practices, including API virtualization, resilient event-driven architecture, and asynchronous processing
  • Experience with security scanning tools
  • Design skills using Figma or similar design tools
  • Ability to work legally in Canada at the time of application; Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents preferred
  • Ability to meet requisite government security screening requirements
