About the role

  • Technical Consultant at Flexspring designing, building, and supporting HR system integrations for various clients. Engaging with stakeholders throughout the integration lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and support custom integrations connecting complex HR, Payroll, and financial systems.
  • Work directly with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into reliable, scalable integration solutions.
  • Be involved throughout the full lifecycle — discovery, solution design, development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
  • Ensure workforce data flows accurately and securely between systems.
  • Solve technical problems, explaining complex concepts clearly, and take ownership of integration solutions end-to-end.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Strong backend development experience, including solid proficiency in Java.
  • Experience working with Groovy or similar JVM-based languages.
  • Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React (or similar).
  • Hands-on experience building or supporting API-based integrations (REST, SOAP, GraphQL).
  • Familiarity with file-based integrations (SFTP, CSV, XML, JSON).
  • Strong understanding of system-to-system data flows, authentication, and error handling.
  • Experience working with or integrating HRIS and/or Payroll systems is strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to ERP/financial systems or understanding how payroll data impacts reporting and General Ledger processes is an asset.
  • Ability to clearly explain technical concepts, integration logic, and data mappings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English (mandatory).
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • High ownership mindset and ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
