About the role
- Senior Ink Technician preparing and quality-checking press-ready inks for Flint Group’s packaging and printing operations. Supporting press production, inventory control, troubleshooting, and waste reduction.
Responsibilities
- Safely perform all aspects of ink preparation and support customer production environments
- Adhere to safety policies, participate in safety training, and properly use PPE
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace using Lean and 5S principles
- Prepare, weigh, blend, and deliver press-ready inks according to production schedules
- Perform quality checks, including color control using X-Rite or similar equipment
- Support press operations with ink adjustments and troubleshooting
- Maintain accurate production, quality, and downtime records
- Assist with job scheduling and ink estimations for upcoming production
- Manage ink inventory levels, proper stock, and excess reduction
- Follow and support work-off ink processes to reduce waste
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in printing, ink manufacturing, or a related production environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and color accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Basic computer and documentation skills
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and move materials, typically up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing/production environment
