About the role

  • Senior Forest Technician responsible for forest development activities including ecological assessments and planning in British Columbia. Working with industry leaders in forestry management.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for forest development activities including reconnaissance road/cutblock engineering
  • Conduct ecological and riparian assessments
  • Complete associated plans, deliverables, and appraisal packages in a safe, timely, cost-effective and professional manner

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in forestry
  • Registered or eligible to register with the FPBC as an RPF or RFT
  • A minimum of 3 years of multiphase timber development project management in British Columbia
  • A strong understanding of the forest legislation, regulation and policy impacting forest planning and management in British Columbia
  • Valid driver's license with a clean abstract
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about forestry and working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Able to work both independently under limited direct supervision as well as in a dynamic team environment
