Senior Auth0 Developer (Node.js) needed for a 4 - 8 month fully remote contract with an IAM consultancy in Canada. Must have 5+ years experience and Auth0 or similar IAM expertise.
About the role
- Architecte Performance Java optimisant les applications et infrastructures d’entreprise de Fresche Solutions. Diagnostic d’incidents complexes, recommandations d’architecture et amélioration de la scalabilité, latence et fiabilité.
Responsibilities
- Lead the investigation and resolution of complex Java performance incidents across the full technology stack
- Analyze JVM and application behavior, including memory, garbage collection, threading, concurrency, CPU, connections, latency and throughput
- Use profiling, observability, thread dumps, heap dumps and database analysis to identify root causes
- Assess application architecture and design scalable, maintainable, high-performance Java solutions in traditional, distributed, cloud and modernized environments
- Facilitate technical scoping sessions, architecture workshops, performance audits and design reviews with clients and internal teams
- Produce and present technical summaries, architectural recommendations, root-cause analyses, remediation plans and deployment roadmaps
- Serve as a senior technical escalation point throughout the delivery lifecycle
- Work directly with clients and internal teams through to full implementation of solutions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent Diploma/Master) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 10+ years of experience designing, developing, troubleshooting and architecting complex enterprise applications
- Proven experience in a senior architect, principal engineer or technical lead role
- Hands-on expertise in Java and JVM performance optimization: memory management, garbage collection, threading, concurrency, heap/thread dumps, JVM tuning, profiling, latency and throughput
- Proficiency with enterprise Java frameworks and application servers such as Spring/Spring Boot, WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss/WildFly, Tomcat or Open Liberty
- Strong experience diagnosing performance incidents in production across application code, the JVM, middleware, databases, OS, infrastructure and networks
- Experience with APM, observability and diagnostic tools such as Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, Datadog, Splunk, Java Flight Recorder, Java Mission Control or VisualVM
- Knowledge of database performance, scaling, capacity planning, resource utilization and application/DBMS interactions
- Excellent client communication, technical documentation, briefing, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills
- Experience with high-volume transactional or ultra-low-latency Java applications is desirable
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices, APIs, cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes or hybrid cloud architectures is desirable
- Experience with load and performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling or LoadRunner is desirable
- Experience with enterprise RDBMS such as DB2, Oracle, PostgreSQL or SQL Server is desirable
- Experience in application modernization, platform transformation, DevOps, SRE or production support is desirable
- Consulting, professional services or client-facing delivery experience is desirable
