About the role
- Electrical Substation Engineer executing detailed design projects and delivering quality engineering solutions. Overseeing all technical aspects of substation design and ensuring project specifications are met.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of HV/EHV substation design
- Prepare high-voltage equipment specifications and issue material purchase requisitions
- Participate in the development of engineering schedules; monitor and control deliverables
- Lead design reviews and gate reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in HV and EHV substation design within the renewable energy or utility sectors
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license in Canada and willingness to act as the Responsible Engineer
- Bilingual in French and English with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability and willingness to travel 20% of the time, including internationally, and to comply with all company travel and tax policies.
