About the role
- Project Manager overseeing deployment and execution of projects for GE Vernova’s small modular reactors. Collaborates with project teams to ensure quality, cost, and schedule management.
Responsibilities
- Focus on deployment and execution projects related to GE Vernova’s small modular reactors (SMR)
- Assist Project Manager in organizing project cost structure in Oracle ERP
- Participate in customer, internal, and/or supplier project kickoff meetings and support the Project Director
- Monitor project budgets and schedules and raise issues to the Project Manager and Project Director
- Monitor task and coordinate with functional support teams to resolve issues
- Develop and maintain a project roster including assigning and monitoring timely completion of project related training activities
- Develop and issue the Project Management Plan and related project plans and project procedures
- Project administration and configuration management of project documentation to assist the Project Manager
- Support the development and deployment of project infrastructure and project tools
- Ensure the conformance of project deliverables with contract and project requirements
- Organize and archive project correspondence and records consistent with Project Configuration Management Plan
- Lead, draft, and issue project management meeting notes, action item lists, and project progress reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- 2 years experience as a project manager OR a high school diploma / GED with at least 5 years of experience working on projects
- Proven professional experience in project management, engineering or business
- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or STEM
- Nuclear power experience in operations or engineering
- Proficient with project management software tools (Primavera, MS Project, etc)
- Fundamental-level financial or accounting knowledge
- Experience or familiarity with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) or Sodium Fast Reactor (SFR) designs
- Knowledge of the power industry, customer, and competitive environment
- Financial control knowledge and understanding
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc)
