About the role

Biomedical Technologist maintaining biomedical equipment with flexible hours and training in the USA for customer satisfaction. Involves evaluation, repair, and planned maintenance of biomedical equipment.

Responsibilities

Evaluate progressively complex, customer biomedical equipment issues with minimal supervision.
Implement appropriate repairs, perform planned maintenance (PM), safety/environmental inspections and maintain effective customer relations.
Follow GE policies, procedures, hospital protocol and complete necessary documentation.
Maintain daily communications with customers to ensure resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
Share on-call responsibility.
Document all repair actions and submit reports/summaries according to schedule.
Enhance and maintain technical knowledge of current standards, codes and procedures regarding safe and effective use of medical equipment through formal instruction.

Graduate (or about to graduate) Technician or Technologists Diploma, Or, a degree in Electronics, Biomedical Engineering or other related field, OR equivalent experience and training.
Ability to perform effective repair and planned maintenance on basic biomedical or electronic equipment.
Biomedical equipment asset management system
Patient monitor information and database systems
Physiological measurement devices
Proficient computer skills including a functional knowledge of common business software such as MS Office.
Basic Networking / IT infrastructure.
Experience using Mechanical Tools and understanding of basic mechanical problems.
Previous experience developing and maintaining good customer relationships.
A valid Ontario driver’s license.
