About the role
- Product QA Engineer building testing infrastructure for Findies’ AI-powered shopping platform. Owning quality across iOS, Android, and web products.
Responsibilities
- Own quality across two mobile apps (iOS and Android) and the web platform
- Build the QA foundation from scratch, including risk maps, test cases, regression suite, and test environments/accounts
- Embed QA into the software development lifecycle from the requirements stage
- Define acceptance criteria alongside product and engineering teams
- Implement structured bug triage and release checklists
- Validate critical user flows, including AI chat interactions, personalized shopping expert recommendations, product search, and database responses
- Use AI tools to optimize test coverage, analyze logs, streamline reporting, and support rapid deployments
- Track and report crash-free rates, app store performance, support tickets, and API behavior
- Help prioritize engineering fixes
- Design, implement, and own the company’s QA culture and infrastructure
- Collaborate directly with product and engineering leaders
- Block releases that do not meet product standards
- Lead and scale the quality assurance team as the product grows
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in QA roles testing both mobile products (iOS/Android) and web applications
- Proven track record of building QA infrastructure from scratch
- Strong understanding of client-server architecture
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools (Postman/Swagger, or Fiddler)
- Comfort analyzing database behaviors using SQL
- Ability to navigate backend structures
- Experience reviewing logs and crash reports
- Exceptional attention to detail and product taste
- Care for smooth animations, intuitive UI layout, and overall consumer product experience
- Extreme autonomy and high ownership
- Ability to execute without a predefined test plan
