About the role
- Web Developer in the Digital Experience team at Genetec designing and implementing a digital platform. Collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams to create user-facing features and optimize code.
Responsibilities
- You will contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle
- You will develop new user-facing features
- You will work collaboratively with product managers, administrative and quality assurance teams, and other groups to develop new features
- You will ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
- You will implement automated tests and adopt a test-focused approach
- You will collaborate on testing and validation with quality assurance leads
- You will ensure code compliance and security
- You will be expected to understand, improve, and refactor code you did not originally write
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience in Front-End web application development
- Ability to write clean, optimized, and scalable code
- Strong teamwork skills and a collaborative approach
- Able to learn quickly and understand complex problems
- Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken
- Strong experience with HTML/CSS and Web/Browser APIs
- In-depth understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript
- Experience with Next.js/React, Angular, or other modern JavaScript libraries
- Knowledge of responsive web design
