About the role

  • Manufacturing Systems Specialist bridging R&D engineering and contract manufacturing for high-precision production. Focused on optimizing manufacturability and technical deployment in manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first line of support for test fixtures and test rigs, providing expert guidance on product architecture and electronic troubleshooting
  • Lead Design for Test (DFT) initiatives in close collaboration with R&D and manufacturing software teams to optimize product manufacturability
  • Collaborate with internal R&D and external specialist firms to oversee the design and fabrication of test equipment based on your technical input
  • Lead the deployment and qualification of new manufacturing tools at partner sites, ensuring equipment operates in accordance with specified requirements
  • Orchestrate the technical introduction of new products (NPI) into manufacturing, ensuring a seamless transition from design to high-volume production
  • Oversee the design, fabrication, and on-site validation of new manufacturing tools and test equipment to ensure they meet performance standards
  • Manage the equipment fleet at contract manufacturing sites, including defining and supervising preventive maintenance specifications
  • Assist in troubleshooting RMAs, performing root cause analysis of hardware failures and maintaining detailed technical documentation
  • Analyze production and test data to provide manufacturers with actionable insights that improve yields and long-term reliability

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, contract manufacturing, or a hardware technical support role
  • Strong electronic diagnostic skills, with the ability to interpret schematics and complex test data
  • Experience defining technical requirements for hardware or software tools used in a production environment
  • Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes, PCBA assembly, and quality assurance methodologies for electronics
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to align R&D objectives with contract manufacturer capabilities
  • Willingness to travel to manufacturing sites as required
  • Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken (this role requires interaction with international colleagues and clients)
