About the role

  • Software Developer in Test for Genetec, focusing on automated testing and quality assurance for Security Center product. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to enhance software quality.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain a large suite of automated tests
  • Investigate test failures, debug issues and support root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with developers, QA and product teams to understand requirements and define test strategies for new features
  • Perform code reviews, improve test coverage and automation efficiency
  • Contribute to testing tools, frameworks and internal best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a professional development environment
  • Knowledge of C# and the .NET framework
  • Experience with various testing methodologies (functional, performance, etc.)
  • Experience with GIT for version control and collaborative development
  • Strong understanding of backend architectures, databases and data flows
  • Proficiency in SQL and PowerShell scripting
  • Good understanding of networking principles: protocols (e.g., TCP/IP), data flows, and troubleshooting in networked environments
  • Experience working in a Windows environment, including diagnosing issues
  • Excellent analytical skills combined with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Fluent in French and English, both spoken and written (this role requires interaction with our international colleagues and clients)
