About the role
- Electrical Substation Engineer designing high-voltage substation projects for GE Vernova. Responsible for engineering solutions, quality deliverables, and team coordination.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for all aspects of HV/EHV substation design
- Develop single-line diagrams for HV/EHV power supply and the external physical layout of the substation
- Prepare high-voltage equipment specifications and issue material purchase requisitions
- Prepare engineering scope documents and supervise the proper execution of work
- Ensure effective coordination and interface with internal and external team members
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in HV and EHV substation design within the renewable energy or utility sectors
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license in Canada and willingness to act as the responsible engineer
- Bilingual in French and English with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, including internationally, and to comply with all company travel and tax policies
