About the role

  • Electrical Substation Engineer designing high-voltage substation projects for GE Vernova. Responsible for engineering solutions, quality deliverables, and team coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of HV/EHV substation design
  • Develop single-line diagrams for HV/EHV power supply and the external physical layout of the substation
  • Prepare high-voltage equipment specifications and issue material purchase requisitions
  • Prepare engineering scope documents and supervise the proper execution of work
  • Ensure effective coordination and interface with internal and external team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in HV and EHV substation design within the renewable energy or utility sectors
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) license in Canada and willingness to act as the responsible engineer
  • Bilingual in French and English with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, including internationally, and to comply with all company travel and tax policies
