About the role

  • EHS Specialist in Ontario supporting safety culture and environmental compliance efforts. Role involves managing SEMS, auditing, and data reporting while collaborating with internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze Issues - Gathers relevant information systematically; considers a broad range of issues or factors; grasps complexities and perceives relationships among problems or issues; seeks input from others; uses accurate logic in analyses.
  • Attention to detail - Strong computer skills; able to manage, analyze, and accurately report data from SEMS; strong communication skills to understand user issues and explain the solution.
  • Assist with Environmental Auditing - Environmental auditing is the process of evaluating conformance/compliance with established regulatory, ISO 14001, and internal requirements.
  • Reporting - Strong organizational skills and ability to work with multiple internal stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education Undergraduate degree or diploma
  • Valid Class 5 or G License
  • Minimum Work Experience Three to five years of related Health and Safety work experience
  • ISN, Complyworks, Avetta, Contractor Check knowledge and/or experience an asset
  • A thorough knowledge of applicable government regulations, environmental regulations, and safety compliance an asset.
