Responsibilities
Recommendations and data analysis: Approve materials according to plans and specifications, analyze test results and interpret findings;
Project management: Manage quality control assignments for materials; monitor ongoing site work as well as non-conformities and corrective actions; travel to sites for monitoring and technical expertise; coordinate site inspections and verify construction and rehabilitation works for road infrastructure, buildings, bridges and other engineered structures;
Project follow-up: Monitor ongoing site work as well as non-conformities and corrective actions; track invoicing and supervise technical staff assigned to sites;
Improvement/Innovation: Identify gaps in existing processes, systems and procedures and use established change management programs to address them;
Solution analysis: Prepare interim or final reports;
Client management (external): Support client management on behalf of more senior commercial staff using existing client relationship management tools.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering;
Minimum of 11 years of proven experience in geotechnical and materials engineering;
Member in good standing of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec for 11 years;
Proficiency in French, both spoken and written;
Hold an ASP Construction card;
Hold a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle;
Ability to work under pressure;
Strong organizational skills, autonomy, resourcefulness and team spirit.
