About the role
- Application Engineer analyzing customer specifications and selecting appropriate G&W products. Collaborating with engineering team to develop custom solutions for technical requirements.
Responsibilities
- Determine and document the technical and commercial requirements of the customers application
- Select the appropriate G&W product to meet these requirements
- Develop accurate cost models for both standard and custom equipment
- Determine price levels and lead times
- Partner with customers and our Engineering team to develop custom solutions that satisfy their needs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with our internal resources and Sales Team
- Provide timely and effective verbal and written communication to our internal resources and Sales Team
- Communicate these requirements to G&Ws internal teams for engineering and manufacturing
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering from four-year accredited college or Engineering Technologist Diploma (3-year program) with relevant experience in the industry
- A concentration in Power Engineering is highly desired
- 1 to 3 Years of experience as an applications engineer, inside sales, or related areas preferably in industrial/manufacturing settings
- Strong computer proficiency
- Experience with JDE and Salesforce software is an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills
