Responsibilities
Norpac Construction Incorporated (Norpac) was created to service the slope stabilization industry and its many specialized tasks. Norpac is focused on providing the very best workmanship with the highest safety standards found within the industry. It is our goal to build and retain long-term relationships with our clients. Norpac comes with a management team and employee base that has been servicing the industry for over 25 years. Whatever our clients’ slope stabilization or ground support needs are, the Norpac team has tackled them before and will work together with our clients to provide solutions to their problems and add value to their projects. We will assess the project, offer multiple solutions, provide design engineering if needed, execute the work, and close out the project while keeping our clients informed and comfortable through the entire process. Our clients can be certain that our team approach will keep their best interests our top priority.
Norpac excels at servicing mine sites, hydro projects, highways, railways, private projects, oil and gas, remote access sites, helicopter access sites, federal projects (parks, forestry, department of fisheries and oceans) and many other clients.
We are currently seeking general laborers interested or who already possess, rope access, drilling, shoring blasting or shotcrete experience to join the Norpac team. The locations of these positions can vary and will depend upon project needs. Most jobs are camp based with rotations that are site specific, travel and accommodation is supplied.
****Key Requirements:**
Previous rope access experience (not required but considered an asset)
Hydraulic/Dachs/bencher/plugger drilling experience (not required but considered an asset)
Shotcrete experience (not required but considered an asset)
Shoring experience (not required but considered an asset)
Ability to work on a difficult terrain slope
Ability to pass a pre-access medical test as well as a drug and alcohol test; note- site specific pre-access security checks are required in some cases
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, promoting a safe working environment
Valid Class 5 license
**Schedule:**
10 to 12-hour shift
**Ability to Commute:**
Throughout BC and AB
Work Location: In person, on site

IRATA Level 1 (not required but considered an asset)
OFA Level
**Additional Requirements:**
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Benefits
**Compensation:**
Pay range between $28 - $40 per hour depending on experience.
Overtime at time-and-a-half paid for time worked over 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week.
