About the role

  • Quality and Continuous Improvement Specialist at Hitachi Energy developing quality management systems and leading improvement initiatives across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and maintain the quality management system in accordance with applicable standards and company policies.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, 5S and Value Stream Mapping methodologies.
  • Conduct internal audits and coordinate corrective and preventive action plans with the relevant departments.
  • Analyze quality data, monitor performance trends and track the effectiveness of improvement actions.
  • Conduct root cause investigations related to quality issues, customer complaints and operational inefficiencies.
  • Provide training and coaching on quality practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, supply chain and sales teams to ensure compliance with quality requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Support supplier quality activities, quality control plans, inspection procedures and project quality management activities for assigned projects.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, procedures and guidelines, both internal and external.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality assurance or continuous improvement role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience with quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and with continuous improvement projects that delivered measurable results.
  • Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, 5S and Value Stream Mapping methodologies as well as data analysis tools, including Minitab and Excel.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is an asset.
  • Fluency in French and English, with availability to travel at least 25% of the time.
