- Quality and Continuous Improvement Specialist at Hitachi Energy developing quality management systems and leading improvement initiatives across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and maintain the quality management system in accordance with applicable standards and company policies.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, 5S and Value Stream Mapping methodologies.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate corrective and preventive action plans with the relevant departments.
- Analyze quality data, monitor performance trends and track the effectiveness of improvement actions.
- Conduct root cause investigations related to quality issues, customer complaints and operational inefficiencies.
- Provide training and coaching on quality practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, supply chain and sales teams to ensure compliance with quality requirements throughout the product lifecycle.
- Support supplier quality activities, quality control plans, inspection procedures and project quality management activities for assigned projects.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, procedures and guidelines, both internal and external.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality assurance or continuous improvement role in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience with quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and with continuous improvement projects that delivered measurable results.
- Proficiency in Lean, Six Sigma, 5S and Value Stream Mapping methodologies as well as data analysis tools, including Minitab and Excel.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is an asset.
- Fluency in French and English, with availability to travel at least 25% of the time.
