About the role

Process Engineer providing technical expertise in extrusion manufacturing for Hydro, improving safety, productivity, and quality. Collaborating with teams to troubleshoot processes and drive improvements.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day technical support and troubleshooting for extrusion processes
Partner with supervisors, process leads, and operators to identify and implement process improvements
Lead and support projects focused on reducing downtime, improving quality, and reducing scrap
Analyze production data and develop recommendations to improve plant performance
Support capital projects and ensure delivery within scope, schedule, and budget
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and project progress
Promote and support safety, quality, environmental, and ergonomic improvement initiatives

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Materials, Metallurgical, or related field) or 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience
Minimum 3 years of Process Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
Minimum 3 years of experience in a heavy industrial environment such as metals, aluminum, steel, mining, chemical processing, or similar industries
Strong communication skills in English, written and verbal
Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures
Project management experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with SPC, process capability studies, and manufacturing statistics
Experience with SQL, VBA, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks
