About the role
- Senior QA Analyst testing Info-Tech’s subscription research, diagnostic, review, and policy software products. Leading automated, API, database, and Agile quality assurance across Canadian teams.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute effective test suites across products and systems within Info-Tech’s Agile software development process
- Ensure applications meet business requirements, technical specifications, and quality goals
- Identify, investigate, document, and resolve system, defect, and environment issues
- Evaluate, plan, design, and implement comprehensive test strategies and frameworks
- Lead functional, regression, integration, backend database validation, API, mobile, scalability, cross-browser compatibility, and usability testing
- Collaborate with Developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts to define test scenarios, acceptance criteria, and coverage
- Advocate for testing during sprint planning and reviews
- Work with developers to design and implement automated test suites
- Liaise with software developers and DevOps on defects and environment issues
- Use SQL and database queries to validate data integrity, transactions, backend processes, and integrations
- Analyze test results and logs, troubleshoot root causes, and validate fixes or configuration changes
- Produce test plans, results, traceability matrices, regression suites, and defect metrics
- Research and recommend testing tools, automation opportunities, and process improvements
- Mentor and support junior QA team members and share testing best practices
- Support testing of AI/Machine Learning features across product lines
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum four (4) years of professional software testing experience, including frontend and backend validation
- Proven experience designing, developing, and implementing QA processes and test strategies across multiple projects or teams
- Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and QA best practices
- Exposure to test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong time management, ownership, and self-motivation
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to quickly understand new systems, APIs, and integrations
- Experience writing or maintaining automated UI or API test scripts
- Bilingual proficiency in French, Spanish, or German is nice-to-have
