Responsibilities
Determine the cause and origin of damage sustained in an accident by inspecting the vehicle using software
Evaluate and approve repair estimates prepared by claims adjusters
May be required to establish the market value of vehicles
Use automated digital estimating systems to standardize repair estimates
Negotiate and communicate best repair practices and procedures
Ensure productivity and service quality
Requirements
GAA Estimator Certificate or eligibility to obtain it
Experience in collision estimating or repair, including knowledge of estimating software (Audatex and Mitchell)
Comprehensive knowledge of principles and techniques for repairing and replacing physical automobile damage
Commitment to ongoing training and professional development
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the collision repair industry
Strong analytical skills to define issues, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to prepare automotive repair estimates using Audatex software
Open communication with shop owners, managers, and estimators throughout the assessment process
