About the role

  • Workforce Planning Specialist at Intact focusing on analysis and strategic planning for the underwriting process. Collaborating with teams to manage capacity and ensure operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the workforce planning tool for your region by providing the data needed to adjust key performance indicators for the coming months.
  • Prepare documents, forecasts, and recommendations for the following year’s budget during the budget season.
  • Lead monthly capacity planning meetings with your partners.
  • Analyze changes in the various performance indicators that impact the capacity plan.
  • Review long-term forecasts and align them with recent trends.
  • Apply and integrate forecasting analysis and workforce-related metrics to provide strategic and operational data for workforce decision-making and recommend workforce priorities to the director.
  • Provide support to the intra-daily team members regarding workforce planning.
  • Produce and analyze weekly and monthly reports and ensure that our data aligns with operational realities.
  • Ensure that the workforce planning framework aligns with Intact’s strategies and provide planning expertise.
  • Collaborate regularly and offer resource management expertise to various partners.

Requirements

  • A university degree (business, mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, engineering, actuarial science) or equivalent.
  • At least five years of experience in workforce planning.
  • Ability to influence various stakeholder groups and translate strategy into action.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A strategic thinker who is not afraid to challenge the status quo.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Bilingual (French and English) – Must be able to communicate regularly with colleagues across the country.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • No prior work experience in Canada required, but must have authorization to work in Canada.
