About the role
- Medical interpreters facilitating accurate Hmong-English communication for patients and healthcare providers at INTELEX. Providing simultaneous and consecutive interpretation in medical and legal scenarios.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and timely interpretation between patients and healthcare providers
- Perform simultaneous and consecutive interpreting
- Ensure proper use of medical terminology
- Facilitate clear and culturally appropriate communication in medical settings
- Support critical communication in legal and medical scenarios
Requirements
- Fluent in Hmong and English
- Minimum 3 months of professional interpretation experience
- Proven expertise in Medical or Legal sectors
- Availability for OPI/VRI or scheduled appointments
- High level of listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills
- Professional, HIPAA-compliant setup
- Wired USB headset with noise cancellation
- At least 10 Mbps upload speed and 20 Mbps download speed
