About the role
- Remote medical interpreters providing Malay-Mandarin-English interpretation for patients and healthcare providers. Supporting accurate communication in medical and legal scenarios through OPI, VRI, and scheduled appointments.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and timely medical interpretation between patients and healthcare providers
- Perform simultaneous and consecutive interpreting
- Ensure proper use of medical terminology
- Facilitate clear and culturally appropriate communication in medical settings
- Support interpretation for legal and medical scenarios
- Work OPI/VRI or scheduled appointments across available shifts
Requirements
- Minimum 3 months of professional interpretation experience
- Fluency in Malay and Mandarin is required
- Proven expertise in Medical or Legal sectors
- Availability for OPI/VRI or scheduled appointments
- High level of listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills
- Professional, HIPAA compliant setup
- Wired USB headset with noise cancellation
- At least 10Mbps upload speed and 20 Mbps download speed
- Role involves interpreting in English and Malay/Mandarin
- Must be able to perform simultaneous and consecutive interpreting
- Proper use of medical terminology
- Clear and culturally appropriate communication in medical settings
