About the role
- Medical interpreters delivering remote Mandarin-English and Malay-English interpretation. Facilitating accurate communication between patients and healthcare providers in medical and legal settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and timely medical interpretation between patients and healthcare providers
- Perform simultaneous and consecutive interpreting
- Ensure proper use of medical terminology
- Facilitate clear and culturally appropriate communication in medical settings
- Facilitate critical communication in legal and medical scenarios
Requirements
- Minimum 3 months of professional interpretation experience
- Malay and Mandarin fluency is a must
- Proven expertise in Medical or Legal sectors
- Availability for OPI/VRI or scheduled appointments
- High level of listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills
- Professional, HIPAA compliant setup
- Wired USB headset with noise cancellation
- At least 10Mbps upload speed and 20 Mbps download speed
