About the role
- Sanitor in Belleville, Ontario producing retail ready fresh meat products for JBS Food Canada. Ensuring cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced food production environment.
Responsibilities
- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE, i.e. hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe boots, and other safety equipment, etc) as provided by the Employer
- Working in a variety of environments including wet, humid, cold, hot, inside or outside
- Slippery floor, and loud ambient noise
- Working with various chemicals, machinery, and production equipment
- Working in a fast-paced environment, with repetitive motion work in hand scrubbing and running a hose, including scrubbing walls, floors, tables, hallways and other production equipment
- Ability to pull, push and lift of sanitation equipment over 50 pounds
- Complete mandatory safety training as outlined for the job assignment
- Complete mandatory food safety/GMP training as outlined for the job assignment
Requirements
- High School Diploma required
- 1 to less than 7-month full time work experience in a physically demanding job, similar to the food processing industry
- Working knowledge of production equipment
- Willingness to take the time to learn the proper, safe way to perform any task
- Ability to understand and apply safe work practices and principles
- A safety first attitude
- Motivated with core values of ownership, accountability and determination
- Basic English skills
- Ability to lift up to 23 KG
