About the role
- Technical Analyst role in a leading ERP software firm assisting with POS and ERP systems. Involving support, configuration, and troubleshooting in hybrid office location.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients and business analysts with deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting of ERP software and POS infrastructure
- Perform POS configuration tasks during implementation projects
- Manage and resolve client issues from reporting through to timely resolution
- Test software, provide feedback, and perform related project tasks
- Analyze behavior in live environments and recommend improvements to the development team
- Maintain and update procedure and configuration documentation
Requirements
- DEC or post-secondary diploma in computer science or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years as a Technical Analyst, Systems Analyst, or equivalent role
- Proven track record supporting POS systems in a retail environment
- Strong familiarity with POS hardware, including cash registers, scanners, and printers
- Proficient in SQL (Oracle SQL/PL-SQL) and VB.NET for reporting and simple customizations
- Ability to write test cases and clearly document defects
- Basic understanding of LAN/WAN connectivity and firewall rules
- Strong communication (written and oral) and leadership skills
- Able to work independently
