About the role
- Lead team of talented programmers responsible for developing core technologies for Ubisoft's anticipated games. Utilize your technical expertise and leadership skills to drive teamwork and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Bring your team together to review progress on assigned tasks
- Review notable bugs and determine the best approach to address them
- Communicate regularly with leads from other disciplines to plan, assess risks, and deliver on schedule
- Code alongside your team members on a daily basis
- Keep your project manager informed of the status of your assignments and meet with other leads to discuss process improvements and share technologies
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Excellent knowledge of low-level programming (C++)
- Knowledge of other programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or others
- Several years of solid programming experience
- Familiarity with game engines or experience in embedded software development or similar
- Experience managing a team of programmers or equivalent leadership experience
- Excellent communication skills and strategic leadership
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and focus on finding solutions
- Understanding of video game production and strong interpersonal skills with non-technical stakeholders
