- Senior Specialist in Systems Engineering at L3Harris developing EO/IR optical sensor systems. Responsible for managing system-level requirements and leading cross-functional engineering collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Define, analyze, and manage system-level requirements
- Lead execution/development of EO/IR projects
- Manage multiple technical projects in a cross-functional environment
- Provide mentorship of junior team members
- Collaborate with Software Engineering to design, test, and document new product features
- Participate in technical design reviews/gate reviews to ensure system design integrity
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of technical experience across Systems Engineering
- Undergraduate Engineering Degree or Technical Diploma with applicable on the job experience
- Programming skills in Matlab, Python, and/or database management is desirable
- Proven understanding of Systems Engineering principals
- Knowledge and understanding of applicable military and industry standards related to airborne, marine and ground systems including MIL-STD-810, RTCA DO-160, MIL STD 461, MIL STD 704 and applicable Customer requirements
