About the role

Portuguese Instructor teaching engaging one-on-one online lessons at LanguageBird. Creating supportive learning environments and providing feedback using Microsoft Teams.

Responsibilities

Teach engaging one-on-one online lessons using Microsoft Teams.
Create a supportive and personalized learning environment that promotes student engagement, confidence, and success.
Assign and provide timely feedback on class performance, homework assignments, and projects.
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate grades and academic records.
Communicate professionally and proactively with students, families, and LanguageBird staff as needed.
Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and respect in all interactions.
Participate in required training.

1–2+ years of experience teaching Portuguese (online and/or in a school setting)
Native-like proficiency in Portuguese
Bachelor's degree required
Experience working with middle school and/or high school students preferred
Familiarity with educational technology and Microsoft Office
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines and expectations
