About the role
- Project Engineer managing Instrumentation & Controls projects for Lauren Services in Vancouver. Overseeing project execution while collaborating with civil engineers and stakeholders in hybrid settings.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the successful delivery of projects, including station installations, analyzer integrations, telemetry systems, automation upgrades, and MOV (Motor Operated Valve) installations.
- Work closely with civil engineers, project managers, and other disciplines to ensure that project requirements are met and timelines are adhered to.
- Manage projects focused on cathodic protection (CP) systems, generator installations for rectifiers, MCC upgrades, Arc Flash Studies, relay replacements, UPS upgrades, switchgear, and control panel installations.
- Assist with drawing stamping (a nice-to-have skill) and provide support in peer reviews to ensure all technical standards are met.
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and project stakeholders to provide updates, resolve issues, and maintain strong working relationships.
Requirements
- 6-10 years of relevant experience in Instrumentation & Controls (I&C), with hands-on involvement in project management and engineering.
- Proven experience working within Oil & Gas, Consulting, or other related industries.
- Strong understanding of Instrumentation, Electrical, and Control Systems design and implementation.
- Experience with Analyzer installations, telemetry systems, and automation of existing sites.
- Knowledge of MOV installations, MCC upgrades, Arc Flash Studies, and switchgear.
- Familiarity with cathodic protection and generator installations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external clients.
- P.Eng certification.
