About the role

  • Project Engineer managing Instrumentation & Controls projects for Lauren Services in Vancouver. Overseeing project execution while collaborating with civil engineers and stakeholders in hybrid settings.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the successful delivery of projects, including station installations, analyzer integrations, telemetry systems, automation upgrades, and MOV (Motor Operated Valve) installations.
  • Work closely with civil engineers, project managers, and other disciplines to ensure that project requirements are met and timelines are adhered to.
  • Manage projects focused on cathodic protection (CP) systems, generator installations for rectifiers, MCC upgrades, Arc Flash Studies, relay replacements, UPS upgrades, switchgear, and control panel installations.
  • Assist with drawing stamping (a nice-to-have skill) and provide support in peer reviews to ensure all technical standards are met.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and project stakeholders to provide updates, resolve issues, and maintain strong working relationships.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in Instrumentation & Controls (I&C), with hands-on involvement in project management and engineering.
  • Proven experience working within Oil & Gas, Consulting, or other related industries.
  • Strong understanding of Instrumentation, Electrical, and Control Systems design and implementation.
  • Experience with Analyzer installations, telemetry systems, and automation of existing sites.
  • Knowledge of MOV installations, MCC upgrades, Arc Flash Studies, and switchgear.
  • Familiarity with cathodic protection and generator installations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact and collaborate effectively with internal teams and external clients.
  • P.Eng certification.
