About the role
- Lead Substation Engineer in a fast-paced environment designing high voltage utility substation projects. Engaging with clients and managing project proposals and implementations.
Responsibilities
- Lead conceptual and detailed HV and MV Substation design for medium to large scale utilities/substations
- Take complete ownership of each project, including management of technical design, staffing, schedule, and budget
- Possess excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with the internal teams and clients to meet project objectives
- Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse team of engineers, designers, and drafters
- Develop and review project proposals, including scopes of work and cost estimates
- Perform Quality Control reviews on medium to large substation projects
- Continually improve and maximize team quality and efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or other related degree
- Eight (8+) plus years of direct experience in substation design
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E) license (You Might Also have)
- Master’s degree in related field (You Might Also have)
- Experience leading a project team (You Might Also have)
