About the role
- Full-stack developer building shared services and infrastructure for MaintainX’s industrial work execution platform. Improving developer productivity, reliability, testing, and delivery.
Responsibilities
- Build and evolve shared services and components used by product teams
- Design APIs, tools, and design-system components and support adoption by engineering teams
- Improve the speed, safety, and reliability of software development, testing, and delivery
- Gather internal engineer feedback, measure adoption, and iterate
- Ship features end to end from planning through production
- Partner with Product Managers, Designers, and engineers to shape the team roadmap
- Own the long-term reliability and performance of a feature area or system
- Review code and mentor developers
- Improve tooling, testing, and delivery practices
- Join a team of 5 to 10 people
- Own a feature area or system outright within the first 6 months
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience building full-stack web or mobile products
- Deep hands-on experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js
- Experience with mobile-first, responsive, iterative development
- Track record of writing maintainable, testable code suitable for handoff
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort making progress when specifications are not fully settled
- Day-to-day use of AI tools in the development workflow
- Take part in an on-call rotation
- Nice to have: GraphQL, React Native, or SQL database experience
- Valuable experience with search technology, authentication and identity, design systems or component libraries, developer tooling or IDE extensions, CI/CD, observability, or compliance programs such as FedRAMP or SOC 2
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
