About the role
- Supporting engineering execution on-site for Mantel's first molten-salt-based carbon capture demonstration project. Collaborating with technical teams and managing day-to-day activities.
Responsibilities
- Support engineering execution on-site from test plan through steady-state operation
- Translate P&IDs, process designs, and engineering packages into installed, commissioned systems in the field
- Manage day-to-day technical activities on-site: contractor coordination, punch lists, field modifications, and issue resolution
- Serve as Mantel's day-to-day engineering point of contact with the host site and its technical teams
- Maintain accurate site records: as-builts, field change notices, commissioning logs, and performance data
- Support data collection and system monitoring for technical validation of the demonstration
Requirements
- 6+ years in process, mechanical, or chemical engineering with hands-on site or field engineering experience, including at least one commissioning or startup campaign
- B.Eng. or B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering
- Comfortable working in industrial environments alongside operators, contractors, and plant engineers
- Genuine curiosity about carbon capture and the role industrial decarbonization plays in reaching net zero
