About the role

Supporting engineering execution on-site for Mantel's first molten-salt-based carbon capture demonstration project. Collaborating with technical teams and managing day-to-day activities.

Responsibilities

Support engineering execution on-site from test plan through steady-state operation
Translate P&IDs, process designs, and engineering packages into installed, commissioned systems in the field
Manage day-to-day technical activities on-site: contractor coordination, punch lists, field modifications, and issue resolution
Serve as Mantel's day-to-day engineering point of contact with the host site and its technical teams
Maintain accurate site records: as-builts, field change notices, commissioning logs, and performance data
Support data collection and system monitoring for technical validation of the demonstration

6+ years in process, mechanical, or chemical engineering with hands-on site or field engineering experience, including at least one commissioning or startup campaign
B.Eng. or B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering
Comfortable working in industrial environments alongside operators, contractors, and plant engineers
Genuine curiosity about carbon capture and the role industrial decarbonization plays in reaching net zero
