About the role

  • Mortgage Specialist Associate facilitating Manulife Bank mortgage sales and application processing. Managing documentation, appraisals, CRM updates, and deal submissions for Mortgage Specialists.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the sale of Manulife Bank’s mortgage solutions
  • Collect required documentation and notes from Mortgage Specialists
  • Package and submit mortgage deals accurately to expedite decision-making
  • Achieve quotas relating to successful deal submissions and fundings
  • Work directly with Mortgage Specialists to gather information and answer questions
  • Maintain client engagement throughout the mortgage application process
  • Collect, package, and review documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Order appraisals and liaise with Mortgage Specialists, lending, and related parties
  • Address head office inquiries, explain policies, and resolve issues
  • Coordinate field activities and direct business to the appropriate bank servicing unit
  • Use Salesforce.com and CRM tools to update file status and provide reports to Mortgage Specialists and Regional Sales Managers

Requirements

  • 2+ years of previous experience in residential mortgage administration
  • Ability to influence and communicate effectively with Mortgage Specialists
  • Solid financial services and banking industry knowledge
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Well organized with effective time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Multi-tasking and creative problem-solving skills
  • Positive and team-oriented attitude
  • Strong collaborative skill set and excellent administrative and follow-up skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
