About the role
- Principal Web Developer responsible for modernizing web platforms at March Networks. Leading the transformation of legacy systems to JAMstack and composable architectures while ensuring performance and security.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the web architecture strategy for March Networks’ internal and external web platforms.
- Lead the upgrade and replacement of legacy web applications and websites, including .NET and WordPress-based systems.
- Design and implement modern JAMstack and composable architectures, emphasizing scalability, performance, and security.
- Act as a hands-on technical contributor, building and reviewing production-grade code where appropriate.
- Own web platform operations, including performance, availability, monitoring, and incident response.
- Design and oversee integrations with enterprise platforms such as AWS, Salesforce, Informatica (or similar data/integration tools), and other internal systems.
- Manage and coordinate external web development vendors and partners, ensuring quality, accountability, and alignment with architectural standards.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in web development and architecture, with a strong focus on modern web platforms.
- Proven experience leading large-scale web modernization or platform replacement initiatives.
- Deep understanding of JAMstack, headless CMS, and composable architectures.
- Strong hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and tooling.
- Experience designing and operating production systems on AWS.
- Strong understanding of web security, performance optimization, and operational best practices.
- Experience working with and guiding external development teams or agencies.
