About the role

Responsibilities

  • Strategic commercial leadership
  • Lead the development and implementation of commercial strategies for the portfolio of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), excipients and bases used in pharmacy compounding.
  • Leverage technical skills and knowledge gained from prior experience to generate new ideas that result in innovative and exclusive products.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities and market developments.
  • Translate portfolio strategy into concrete action plans that align commercial priorities with regulatory requirements, supply availability and operational constraints.
  • Define and manage the portfolio of active ingredients (APIs) and excipient bases, oversee evaluation of existing products and identify opportunities for expansion.
  • Develop and implement forecasting models to anticipate market demand, sales trends and inventory requirements.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing and training teams to develop tools, training and resources that enable the sales force to effectively communicate product selling points.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is an asset.
  • Ten (10) years of proven leadership experience in product management, portfolio strategy or commercial leadership, preferably in pharmaceutical ingredients, excipients, finished dosage forms or categories related to pharmacy compounding.
  • Deep knowledge of product lifecycle management frameworks, with demonstrated experience implementing and optimizing processes to improve efficiency.
  • Exceptional strategic mindset, excellent analytical skills and a successful track record in product launches and executing commercial strategies.
  • Strong leadership, communication and team-building skills to enable effective collaboration and motivation across cross-functional teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of the market for active pharmaceutical ingredients, excipients and pharmacy compounding, including customer needs, competitive landscape and applicable quality and regulatory considerations.
  • Hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including finished dosage products, product launches, lifecycle management and cross-functional coordination between regulatory, quality, supply chain and commercial teams.
  • Required software/programs: proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Teams and Excel).
