Responsibilities
Strategic commercial leadership
Lead the development and implementation of commercial strategies for the portfolio of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), excipients and bases used in pharmacy compounding.
Leverage technical skills and knowledge gained from prior experience to generate new ideas that result in innovative and exclusive products.
Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities and market developments.
Translate portfolio strategy into concrete action plans that align commercial priorities with regulatory requirements, supply availability and operational constraints.
Define and manage the portfolio of active ingredients (APIs) and excipient bases, oversee evaluation of existing products and identify opportunities for expansion.
Develop and implement forecasting models to anticipate market demand, sales trends and inventory requirements.
Collaborate with sales, marketing and training teams to develop tools, training and resources that enable the sales force to effectively communicate product selling points.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering or a related field; a Master's degree is an asset.
Ten (10) years of proven leadership experience in product management, portfolio strategy or commercial leadership, preferably in pharmaceutical ingredients, excipients, finished dosage forms or categories related to pharmacy compounding.
Deep knowledge of product lifecycle management frameworks, with demonstrated experience implementing and optimizing processes to improve efficiency.
Exceptional strategic mindset, excellent analytical skills and a successful track record in product launches and executing commercial strategies.
Strong leadership, communication and team-building skills to enable effective collaboration and motivation across cross-functional teams.
In-depth knowledge of the market for active pharmaceutical ingredients, excipients and pharmacy compounding, including customer needs, competitive landscape and applicable quality and regulatory considerations.
Hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including finished dosage products, product launches, lifecycle management and cross-functional coordination between regulatory, quality, supply chain and commercial teams.
Required software/programs: proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, Teams and Excel).
