About the role
- Team Lead overseeing Settlements operations at Metergy Solutions in the energy sector. Provide leadership and drive operational efficiency for settlements and billing processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and support settlement analysts, and assign daily tasks and ensure deadlines and service levels are met.
- Oversee settlement processing, reconciliations, and exception handling, review and approve settlement transactions, and keep procedures and documentation up to date.
- Identify and address operational risks, resolve discrepancies and settlement issues, support audits, reviews, and control testing.
- Work closely with Billing, Finance, Revenue Assurance, Sales and Customer Success to support smooth operations.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate settlement workflows, reconciliations, and reporting while contributing to process standardization and knowledge continuity.
Requirements
- Post‑secondary education in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related fields.
- Two (2) – Five (5) years' experience in settlements or financial operations, ideally with exposure to utilities, energy markets, or other regulated industries.
- Prior leadership, coaching, or mentorship experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of settlement workflows and controls.
- Good communication, analytical, and organizational skills; high attention to detail and ability to prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with data analytics/visualization (e.g., VBA, Power BI, Power Query); comfort working with large datasets and improving data quality.
