About the role

  • Pipeline GIS Technician supporting oil and gas operators with pipeline data management and integrity solutions. Delivering GIS consulting, workflow automation, spatial analysis, and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Support clients with data management and quality-control efforts
  • Maintain PODS and UPDM data models
  • Develop, test, and train users on data-management workflows, processes, and procedures
  • Process survey and inspection data
  • Maintain pipeline centerlines and bulk-load data to databases
  • Align In-Line Inspection and Close Interval Survey data
  • Capture, convert, reconcile, analyze, and manage pipeline spatial and technical data
  • Create, manage, and edit feature classes and spatial data
  • Work with geographic projections and coordinate systems
  • Automate workflows using ModelBuilder and Python scripts
  • Develop and maintain geoprocessing processes for public datasets supporting natural-hazards analysis
  • Develop strip-map alignment-sheet and other map-format templates
  • Conduct spatial analysis of inspection data supporting corrosion-growth analysis
  • Develop and maintain regulatory-reporting processes
  • Provide clients with GIS integration, documentation, and implementation expertise
  • Produce technical writing for client deliverables
  • Maintain Integrity Plus quality-deliverable standards
  • Collaborate with leadership to optimize and sustain business workflows
  • Perform other project tasks and responsibilities as requested

Requirements

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in GIS, science, technology, or similar
  • Minimum 7 years of GIS experience
  • Advanced ArcPro and APR Google Earth (KML) skills
  • Advanced SQL query skills
  • Advanced knowledge of database frameworks using PODS and UPDM
  • Advanced experience with GIS for pipelines, TVC, or As-Built
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Access
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
