About the role

  • Technical Leader responsible for advancing Geospatial capabilities and quality at Stantec. Collaborating with leadership to ensure technical excellence in project delivery and community building.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Project Delivery Business Leader (PDBL), accountable for advancing technical excellence, strengthening quality, and building technical capability across the Geospatial discipline
  • Work collaboratively with Regional Delivery Leaders (RDLs) to ensure technical excellence is embedded into project delivery
  • Establish and communicate discipline-specific technical standards
  • Promote consistent QA/QC processes and technical review practices across projects
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance on complex or high-risk projects
  • Work closely with delivery leadership to ensure appropriate technical expertise is applied to projects
  • Support project teams by facilitating access to appropriate technical capabilities
  • Contribute to major pursuits and key project reviews
  • Build and lead a connected, high-performing technical community across the discipline
  • Drive adoption of digital tools and innovative delivery approaches
  • Represent the organization in industry forums and promote thought leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant technical discipline
  • Typically 15+ years of relevant experience
  • Recognized technical expertise within an infrastructure discipline (Geospatial)
  • Proven experience in complex project delivery and technical leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to lead across regions and influence without direct authority
