About the role

  • Water Resources Engineer providing project management in surface water engineering for diverse clients in Ontario. Collaborating with teams on engineering support and technical reporting tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project management and engineering support for surface water projects and designs
  • Complete asset management studies and inventories for municipal clients
  • Conduct occasional inspection on construction projects and provide construction administration services
  • Manage a variety of projects for a diverse group of clients, including budget/cost control; schedule tracking; and client management
  • Review and authorize design drawings, including Issued for Tender/Construction drawing sets
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team on river process-related projects
  • Prepare technical reports, specifications, and work plans
  • Build strong client relationships and liaise with stakeholders

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in water resource engineering
  • Professional Engineer designation with PEO is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Water Resources/Environmental Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with stormwater management, civil engineering and land development design
  • Experience in writing technical reports and proposals, and giving presentations to multi-stakeholder groups
  • Ability to effectively manage projects of various sizes and complexity simultaneously
  • A valid Class G driver’s license with no restrictions and a clean driving record.
